Thanks everyone.. Hoping to hear something tomorrow.

I plan on sticking with a Lexus, just highly debating on the AWD (Michigan).. version, RWD Manual, or even upgrading to the 350.

Cars are repairable/replaceable while drivers can't......

I'm going to have to agree. There has got to be some frame damage. I say totaled.

No airbag deployment because they are designed for frontal impact.

Agree 100%. Car is totaled (2nd post today on totaled IS' with no injuries, what does THAT tell ya?) and another example why I also NEVER drive on New Years, driver or passenger....

Glad all are ok!

Don't worry, car is totaled. Just go to the dealer and put a hold on that 6 MT they have in stock until the insurance company cuts you a check.

Thank goodness you and your friends are okay. I hope the officer is also okay. Enjoy and post photos of your new car when you get her! I hope it won't take too many weeks/months until the insurance company cuts you the check.

Holy ********* that looks pretty rough. I'm glad you guys walked away without being hurt. It's a shame about your car, but at least you're ok.

Well some good new.. Insurance and gap paid off the car, only issue is I put 5k down at the beginning which I am now at a loss. The guy who hit me did not have insurance. Good thing Michigan is a no fault state.

I spoke with a sales guy he was no help, my sales lady called, and I told her I was already shopping around, Infiniti and BMW both had my attention with 0 down. She said she would call me back within the hour.

In order to avoid the 5k and get into a new car without any down payment. Currently building a house and funds are pretty tight.

I have to accept a DEMO, which has 2800 miles and was driven by my sales lady, an older lady. Smokey Granite in Color IS250 AWD with Navigation.

I previously had 07' Is250 base model totalled at 12k miles. wo/ navigation.

Whatcha think? Shop around, or take it?

Personally, I think a Lexus at this point in your life is a luxury you really can't afford, especially if you can't put anything down. If you are building a house that is where the funds should be going, not in a flashy ride. Get some basic transportation for a few years (like a Corolla or Camry) and build up your savings, then shop for a Lexus. Just my opinion from what you have said.
