HID's!!!!
 

Ok...so I am new to this site as of today :). My dad bought a 07' IS250 AWD from the states, and is going to pick it up in a week and a half :p. Anyways, we got the nice pearlescent white, with the sterling grey interior, and it has the OEM spoiler as well. Thing is, I don't believe the car has HID's on it. So I asked the tech from the dealership, what it would cost to install something like that on the car, and I wasn't aware that it would be so costly. He told me something like $2000+ to get it done, which is craziness. Anyways, you see a lot of aftermarket HID conversion kits on the net. Does anyone know any reliable companies that make a nice product/ if its even worth going through with the whole thing. I have seen kits going for around $300, but apparently you don't get to use high beams? My dad doesn't want to screw around with this too much so that it doesn't end up making the warranty void. Any suggestions?

MTEC is the way to go for aftermarket HID kits.

Ok, the paint *appears* is called Glacial Frost Mica *ting of blue* or we say GFM.

HID, easy way to tell, goto the car, dont turn it on, just turn on the lites, do you hear a buzzing from the fenders? if you do you have hids. If you dont you have H11 halogen bulbs, just get a hid kit that fits H11. HID is will be your lowbeams the hi beam/drl is a 9005 bulb, so you will not lose hi beam with a hid kit.

Unfortunately, can't turn it on yet because we get it in a week and a half. Then I will be able to tell. And...the color is not Glacier Frost Mica, it is Crystal White Pearl :P.

Ya Starfire Pearl = Crystal White Pearl. I am getting the name Crystal White Pearl from an IS brochure, but on website its the Starfire Pearl.

Looks GFM to me.... But im color blind... Look at the color i bought! HAHA

And also, I saw the post about the redout taillights. I will know for sure in about 2 weeks if there is amber or not, but judging from that rear shot, it looks as if it doesn't have ambers, which would be awesome. But I have a feeling that they will. :s

Looks like you gonna need the red outs. there cheap order them now and have them by the time you get the car!!!!!

doesnt look like the car comes with the redouts, u can tell from the rear shot if u look closely at the left one, its a lighter tint, which in person will be the amber.
