That's a shame, why would I buy this if I can't view any videos or movies in motion. I got all excited for nothing!!!!

well all they said was that it wont work in motion.. one of the guys testing it out needs to do the nav hack and give us an update on if it allows movies while driving or not

Yes the SL2VI will have all the same functions as the SL2I but now with video capabilities. to access the DVD function you push the Disc button it will cycle through from CD..MP3..DVD..CD and so on or CD..CD2..DVD if MP3 mode is not available. it hooks up just like the SL2I but with one extra cable that goes to the back of the Nav. It will work with ML systems but they are still in testing right now.

I'm quite certain, that it will allow you to watch video in motion if you hack the nav to do that. Someone on the GS threads posted that the nav hack works in conjunction with the vaistech device to allow video from the ipod while in motion. I want to know if it will work with an iphone, though I doubt it will.

this is what I got back from a PM.

SL2Vi will not work while car is in motion, as this is a safety feature by Toyota and we can't go around it.
First it will be released for non ML package cars and for 5th Gen iPod only. Later this year we will add ML package cars and all the new iPods that just came out this Fall.
