*edit* CAI/headders/xpipe/mufflers on a is250...for sound??? thats kinda xpensive... if you want sound just swap the mufflers it'll be much cheeper.
i was asking about the reliability because, i dont know if you noticed, there are quite a few threads where people are complaining of things going wrong with their car.

i never said anything about doing the mods for sound. i would be getting the tanabe exhaust....which is pretty quiet

Yeah, I think there are holes behind Lexus, ISx50, and the 'L' logo.

Yeah, I'd take the couple thousand bucks you'd spend on crappy headers/loud exhaust/low gain intake/etc and just get a 350. Wait slightly longer if you need to save a little bit more.

Or, if reliability is your real big issue, take the couple thousand the loud-but-doesn't-do-much mods would cost, and spend $1500 on the 7 yr/100k lexus extended warranty... Far as I know as long as it has under 50k miles (ie it's under factory warranty still) you can buy the extended at any time.

the 'L' would be staying, just the 'lexus' and 'ISx50' would come off. but im not taking them off if there are holes.

Go into the dealer and get an 07 right now! You will love it.

I got my NEW 2007 IS250 for $29,xxx before tax. That was almost $6000k off sticker! And this was in 12/16/06. Almost a year ago.

I couldnt justify paying $8000 more to get an IS350. yes the 100 hp would be nice. But not $8000 more on the same car.

If you on a budget and it seems like you are just get an IS250.

Actually there are 1 or 2 problems that pop up as new ppl buy the car, they come and post the same topics over n over... brake dust and b-pillar rattles are the main, no problems here have nething to do with reliability...

Well i said 'sound' cuz your not doing those mods for 'power' in a 250... it was ment as a spelling correction. You'll be lucky to get 10hp total.

I'd have to agree with the poster who advised to save your money on the add-ons and put it toward a 350. I just bought a mint 350 with 15k on it with the CPO warranty for 3yrs/100k miles B2B. I paid $31k. I didn't even shop around and could have probably done better. I just came out of a couple of bimmers and I'm really impressed with this car's performance. As for reliability, that's the main reason I switched to Lexus.

nav makes the interior look so much better...and you should save a bit for the 350... I can't imagine any less power... I actually want more haha, unless you aren't much into performance/speed but rather luxury and reliability... and the 250 will suite you well enough...

Think of your alternatives, I guarantee that Lexus will outlast any of them.
