I'm selected to be a SL2VI tester.

Does this sound like a good idea? After testing the product. There will be a discount towards the product if I do choose to purchase it. Any reasons why I should or shouldn't go through with it?

what is the sl2vi?

CAIFAN_64 Oct 20, 2007 05:03 PM

is an ipod "adapter" that will allow to see videos through the nav screen, using the video ipod.

Lextasy89 Oct 20, 2007 05:09 PM

is it supposed to work for any nav? or just the ML?

Koofteh Oct 20, 2007 05:11 PM

What could it hurt if you're willing to open up your car to install it?

I would just let you keep the device for payback though... merely getting a discount doesn't seem worth your while.

andyroo Oct 20, 2007 05:24 PM

How much of a discount and how complicated is the install?

I would do it but then again I plan on purchasing this so that is another reason why.

Lextasy89 Oct 20, 2007 09:10 PM

whens this supposed to come out? any idea on cost?

r1lee Oct 21, 2007 08:45 PM

I would expect you to get the unit that you are testing for free.

Aside from what i said above, what's a "steep" discount?

dan206 Oct 21, 2007 09:36 PM

yeah I would do it for sure too. Let me take your spot. hahaha

knihc2008 Oct 21, 2007 10:50 PM

Yeah this is a good opportunity.

I have a question about these VaisTech products. Before they only work thru the iPod thru the iPod's playlists. Are they thru Artist/Album yet?

I emailed Vaistech about this and they guy who answered my email said that testers would pay somewhere around $150-250 for the SL2vi unit, depending on the degree of feedback they gave while installing and using the device.

I thought vaistech is located in Colorado.

Can you watch a video while the car is in motion? Can you also flip through palylists while the car is in motion?
