Default Dimming outside mirrors

Does anyone know if the outside mirrors dim at night? I thought the sales man told me they were but they don't seem to be. I wish Lexus would start making outside mirrors dim since damn SUV headlights kill your eyes from side mirrors also.

mine do and i have the lux package, if you really want to see them dim hold your finger over the light sensor in the back of the rearview mirror to maker it think its dark outside, if its daylight the rear view will get very black and the side mirrors take a little longer to change but then also get pretty black after about 45 seconds.

I've noticed that the outside mirrors do take a while to dim, unlike the one inside, which dims almost instantly.

The side mirrors dim but not green, its more of like a bluish/teal color. Its less noticable then the rearview mirror. In any case, I think your side mirrors should definately dim. You can test it like someone above stated. By covering the sensor on the front of the Rearview mirror cover. Just cover it with your hand/fingers, and wait a few seconds until you see the rearview mirror dim and the sides too.

If that doesn't work, then maybe you have an issue with the dimming mirrors. Good luck.

Do this during hte daytime--it won't make much difference at nite, when it's already dark. By "front", Bounce means front direction of the car--the back housing of the mirror. There's a hole offset to the passenger side.

It is very hard to see the side mirrors actually dim. They seem to tint (bluish) more than dim. The only time you can really see them tint is just after the sun has set and it’s still light out.

I guess mine is not since I have premium package and they don't tilt down in reverse.
