Default Why no AWD IS350?

Other companies have AWD and 300 or so HP.
Why not the IS 350?

Force you up to a GS350 AWD.

if they had a !S350awd i would be all over it, but i got the 250awd instead.

my dad picked up a GS350awd, sure is sweet but he likes the lines of my car more. and that thing is a beast and a cruiser, deffinitly a lighter feal in stearing then the IS

I agree, that has always been my feeling. They need something to differentiate between the ES350, IS350 and GS350. What people tend to forget is that most specs of a car are results of some marketing ploy.

Take the Merc AMG lineup... they all use the same exact engine but each put out vastly different amounts of power.

Cost and wieght perhaps? Maybe Lexus had in mind if you wanted a AWD car with 3.5 liter V6, you go for a GS350awd. Wouldnt a IS350awd cost nearly the same as the GS350awd?

I think I agree with this one. AWD would add, what....200lbs or so? I'll pass seeing as my IS is heavy enough.

The IS and GS do share the same 3.5 liter V6. The ES uses a different 3.5 V6. It is a 2GR-FE not a 2GR-FSE. The ES and RX 350 models do not use direct injection and port injection. They only have port fuel injection.
