Black Stock vs. Chrome Stock Wheels
I am thinking of changing the stock rims to chrome or either powdercoated black. Let me know which one you guys like.

here's a pic my buddy chopped for me (I stole the pic from a lease-takeover site) if it helps.
I'm getting my wheels powder coated black on my black/black IS in a couple weeks - 290 otd.

wow $290... see thast the thing powdercoating them is cheaper. The chroming place said that they would do it for $400 otd. I dont know why, but i think the stock wheels in black look cheap but i guess not lol.

of the three quotes I got of reputable pc'ing places in Houston, one was over 400, one was 350 & one was 290. After further review of what goes into the price, the 290 was the basic, simple p/c & clear finish that I wanted - nothing fancy, so that's what I'm going to go with.

chrome looks like the wheel was made from foil and cheap.
the all black wheels really makes the car look like a badly painted toy.
this 'gray' version looks much nicer IMO: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d+stock+wheels
