Default Anyone tried the new lighter Aerotect red outs?

Hi all, I was about to order the red outs for the IS from rvinyl because I notice from pics that they seem to match more than the aerotect's redout. The aerotect's seem a little darker to me from the pics. Now I hear that Aerotect has new redouts that are supposedly lighter to be a closer match. Wondering if anyone knows and has tried it? Also, I haven't seen how it looks when it blinks with redouts beside the one on youtube, does it seem pinkish in real life? Thanks all

Yeah dude... rvinyl is some quality stuff. Had it for a year already, and through North West winter too! Still going strong.

Here's a couple of pics of the Aerotect redouts I got for free from my fog overlays. I've only had it on for a week so quality-wise, I can't complain but it does blink red.

I think it matches pretty well. You guys be the judge...

I've installed many sets of the Red Outs.. and I am not yet sold for this MOD.

Maybe i've had a bad experience with overlays on lamps. Beware that some will actually leave permanent damage if you try to remove it.

^^^ What kind of damage? My Matrix had some redouts for about 3 years before I switched tail lights and it did no damage to my lights.

It looks almost magenta like.

Here is a photo of mine.

It's not Aerotect's film BTW.

Well for me, back in the mid to late 90's, i've used red-outs on my crv, where after 2-3 years later, it wouldn't come OFF. I had to wet sand the whole lens and re polish it. Man it was such a pain!

Honestly tho, these are so cheap! Just buy 1 precut, save the backing as a template and cut it yourself! A sheet on ebay is about $20 at most? Use them for a year and dispose of it. I wouldn't keep it any longer because i am scared of permanent damage from my previous experience.
