Default IS250 AWD and 18" rims

Anyone know if it possible to upgrade from stock 17x8 on 225/45's all around to 18x8 225/40's without losing any of the AWD performance? I plan on asking what the best all season tire for this setup as well?

You should be fine as long as you use the same size of tires on all around.

Alexis,

18's are fine on the AWD, stock sizes are 225/45/17 and I went with 245/40/18 on my new wheels. AWD's usually stick with same offsets all round but staggered offsets are do-able as well. There are a lot of members here running staggered set ups on the AWD.

Default was that 245/40 all around?

any problem with fit, rubbing, performance? What width is your rim. The rim I have in mind is 18x8.

18x8 and tires are 245/40/18, they don't rub in the rear but rub in the front with the +38 offset. (Also have Tanabe springs)I don't think anyone has run 245 in the front without rubbing. Don't quote me on that tho. Stock offset is +45 all round FYI.
