That pin in the gas pedal is one of the PITA to remove aside from removing the gas pedal assembly itself

The damn pin was so much harder to remove then the pedal... i was banging away at it for a good 15-20min before it came out. The pedal only took like 1min to take off with an angle extension.

Hey guys....one more question. How the heck do you detach the OBD connector and the floor light? The panel won't come down far enough for me to see the back side.

There's a little clip on it that you need to push down from each side of the obd connector, and one clip on the light.... but you don't need to remove the connector or the light. You should be able to just let it dangle and have enough room to remove the accelerator pedal.

Thanks XprincoX!...I was able to do it without removing the connector. I did create an even bigger problem though...

This is for everyone else thinking about doing this mod. When reattaching the accelerator assembly to the firewall...be carefull not to overtighten the nuts. I snapped one of the two bolts that attach the assembly to the firewall...and I didn't even make it that tight...or at least I thought I didn't. Now I have to try and find a replacement bracket that mounts to the firewall...thank goodness there was a part number on it.

Other than that...It looks great!

The gas pedal really is not that hard to install as some people make it seem. With the right tools, it'll be fairly quick.

the special tools needed is not that expensive.. Angle adapter and punch tool is less then $15.00. It is a positive experience and you can use the tools for some other project down the line.

yep as with any project with the correct tools the job should be much easier. The hardest part is punching out the pin holding the pedal...
