Just wondering how many people on this forum have their tail lights red-out...

i did this earlier this week, but i was a noob and got some air bubbles. So i will be doing this again on monday. w00t!

 

i got the redouts and i think it looks 100 times better . . . no regrets here.

only thing i would change is if later i added some smoked or black out tails. i think the red gives the all black look a good contrast though.

 

I don't have them, and I don't plan on doing them.

While not great looking, the amber doesn't look bad IMO. Also, I've ALWAYS liked amber taillights more than red, as I think they are easier to see.

Also, another thing I've noticed is that from just a short distance away (ie- a few car lengths behind an IS), the red appears to blend down into the amber anyway.

Just my 2 cents worth... no offense to those that have it.

 

It really depends which vinyl you use. I think mine is perfect, not too dark or too light.

 

yup first mod i ever did.

 

i want mine white instead of orange.. maybe in the 2008, just like the IS-F

Not a problem, I put mine on 15mins after I got home with the car. They've been on since Dec. 2005 and still look the same.

 

just got em done today. they look very nice.

 

where is a good place or website to get the red out from??

 

aerotect. Ah-mazing... also ordered some optic blue film for fogs, changes the look in fogs to hid, and looks clean in the daytime

dont get lamin-x for is350 fogs...dont fit

Same here! It makes the car look 10x better.

Sometimes less is more. I love the red outs!

 

i've been wanting to do this for a while now, maybe i'll order the vinyl next week.
