Or you could just tap the factory sub wires to the new amp. The sub factory wires are sort of confusing on the schematics I have. The wires are either Pink (+) and Sky Blue (-) or Brown (+) and Light Green(-). Just pick the colors that are at the speaker for your install.

I am waiting to have someone tell us for sure which is the remote turn on for the non-ml system. I have heard different colors, but need someone here to let us know for sure. Right now my amp stays on while the car is on. Need to change this ASAP.
did you ever hear what the remote turn on wire color is?

i plan on doing my install this weekend....why would the stock sub woofer have two sets of wires? it is a one channel speaker...and does it matter which ones u tap?

Hi everyone, I've just updated the negative/positve leads for the front left/right and sub wires. Thanks to Batmobile for PM'ed me or else I would never realized that I left out such important informations, I apologize for forgetting to put that infos in there.

In regarding the wiring for the stock sub, it has two set of wires since it's a dual voice coil. I have the ML sub but if I was to do it on the stock sub, i'll input each set of wire into the LOC and then sum the output at the end. Please let me know if I'm missing anything for this DIY, i'll update it so it can be easier to follow in the future, thanks.

bringing this thread back alive!

This will probably solve my current problem right now, which is having to much low end bass, and almost no mids. When my woofer is playing the mids, it's hardly even moving, and just like tt061880 said, the lows are giving me too much headache, because my current sub is tapped to the rear speakers.

I'm gonna get a shop to rewire everything, tap them to the front speakers, and post the results. Thanks tt and technique!

Sorry to bring this thread up again.... What exactly is meant by "Sum up the Bass signals"

I have a Factory Mark Levinson System
In two weeks I plan on installing my
1) Scosch FAI3A
2) Kicker TC10 Subwoofer in a box
3) Infinity Kappa 102A amplifier(Its overkill for the sub, I know)

I dont understand what I do with the Factory front woofer outputs... after I tap them via the Scosch LOC.

This weekend I am installing an Alpine MRP-M350 and an Alpine MRP-F240 into my 3000GT and then taking the Kappa 102a out of it. I am good with installing full stereo's... but am lost when it comes to intergrating aftermarket to factory units.

Can anyone please provide photos of where they grounded their amp assuming that you aren't getting any ground noise of course.

hi i have a 2007 is250 non ML i was wondering which plug is for the factory subwoofer and also which plug is for front door woofer? also i see that u have to hook up 4 wires to the LOC for the factory subwoofer.

now do you hook up both postive wires and both neg. wires to there own wire to the LOD or do you combine both postive wire to one wire and combine both neg. wires to one wire??

Does anyone know if Scosche changed the model number for their 4 channel output converter from the FAI-3A to SLC-4? Are these two items still the same thing?

I'm ready to buy, but I don't want to buy a different converter.

Thanks
