weird button in glove box
#31
We don't have our car yet, but it sort of looks like the button on the refrigerator that turns the light on when you open the door. It isn't that?
My second guess is that it's a microphone to check to see what you're doing when you're out with that sweet car. Does anyone have a reason to distrust you?

i don't remember if i have like that button in my car(too lazy to go check) ,,
but couldn't it be the button that controls the light inside the glove box ? if the button is closed that means the glove box is closed so the light will go off?

It is the button for a short boost of NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems)
Just press it and it should get you 0-60 in 4 sec.
Oh and you need to be in "power-mode" when doing this
(It wont work under normal-mode or snow-mode).

It's for the tire pressure sensor. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-L...spagenameZWDVW
"The transmitter ID codes for two sets of tires—such as regular and winter—may be registered in the system (ID registration must take place at a Lexus dealership). A tire select switch on the left of the glovebox allows the driver to easily select the appropriate tire set for monitoring."

If that were the case than we would all have "the button" since we all have TPMS. I just checked and I dont have it.

actually they may be right, remember that there are two different type of sets of TMPS Sensors, Cars produced Pre- April '06, and After April '06, maybe that has to do with it. Because that ad on ebay clearly states its changed by a button in the glove box.
