Default New member... can't wait

Hello members,

I drove home a starfire/cashmere IS250.. smiling all the way! auto-dimming mirrors and HID, comfy seats it was a great experience behind the wheel.

That was 10 days ago, I didn't wanted to drive the car until I got the 3M clear bra put on. Today the installer called and told me the film messed up during the cutting process and he has to order new film and have to delay our appointment until thursday.

So I have to wait another 5 days. I was really looking forward to driving the car this weekend I guess not.. yeah I know I am too meticulus but if I am paying $500 to avoid rock chips I don't want to have a single ding before the bra goes on. It sits in the garage..

So the car has to sit a couple of weeks. I wanted to try out the stereo system with my CDs but didn't want to drain the battery.

Welcome to Club Lexus and congrats on your new IS!

Sorry to hear about your issues with the clear bra. Anyhow, I don't see anything wrong with your car being a garage queen for the meantime.

Don't worry about the battery and go drive your car! Just stay in the city or go on a country road where no one drives.

Go drive your new IS bro, it must be torture having it sit there like that. Just be sure to avoid major highways, following too closely, gravel roads, etc.

Congrats and Welcome to the Club!

You made the right decision to get a Clear Bra. Be patient and you'll have a beaute of a toy to have for a very long time.

Let me guess, you have a SLK in driveway?

What's a dang chip anyway, it's a car, a motor vehicle, what if somebody hits it like has happened to a few of out forum members?
What the heck is the clear bra going to do then?

I thought long and hard about the clear bra, then I said what the heck, when it gets chipped it gets chipped, if it gets bad enough I'll get it fixed, if it doesn't match perfectly who cares, I drive it, not show it!

Its a dang car. you bought it to drive it so do so. a clear bra doesn't protect it from everything so its not like your car is going to be invincilbe and total safe to drive with it.

Welcome to CL and congrats on your purchase! I know the wait must be killing you. And of course, I'm obligated by the rules of CL to tell you that...

Make sure to post pics of your new ride!

OP is afraid that the camera flash will scratch his front bumper.
