Some a$$ hit my rear bumper in a parking lot. Did a few errands on Sunday, but I think at Target. Punched a couple of small gashes in the rear bumper, scrapes along 1/2 of the bumper, along with spider webbing in the paint. Didn't leave a note.

Not even at 6800 miles.

Car happened to be going to the dealer today. Estimate: $850.

The first week of having my car i got a damn rock chip on my hood! Luckily it's so small it isn't noticeable especially since the aerotect guys filled it up for me before they put my clear bra on.

sitting at a stop sign waiting to cross a street and a person in an explorer coming from my right decides to *attempt* a left turn in front of a neon coming towards her at 50 mph. needless to say she got t-boned and rammed the front of my 5 week old IS 250.

If only the world was more lenient on 2nd degree murder, I might have my revenge for sitting at a stop sign and still have my perfect baby today.

baby scratches....sometimes my coach hangbag hits the side of car when I go to sit down. Also, the dealership ruined my finish on my front passenger seat during my 1,000 mile service

We've had ours for two years, and I'm surprised it has not been damaged in any way, not even door dings. I'm also impressed that the windshield has gone through nearly two winters without receiving any rock chips. Toyota build quality and "anti-aging" protocols are very good!

I just said this in my thread with pics of my car, but I got sprayed by a gravel truck down the entire passenger side while I was sitting in the car. But, took pics with my cell, got witnesses, filed a claim against the state, and just recieved a check for 4k to paint the side.

TRDcorolla - did you have headlight film on the headlight or was it bare?

It was bare. I considered getting the film before, but it was already too late as the front end accumulated a lot of dings and cracks from rocks, debris, etc.

It's really bad. The body is in bad shape too as far as the clearcoat goes. It's nearly gone. The enthusiasm to keep the body looking clean went away when the scratches and dings developed in high volume. Plus, I just found a new scratch about a few inches long on the rear quarter panel.

Today my IS's rear driver's side bumper was scratched by a sixth gen Honda Accord sedan driven by an eighty year old lady. The damage was very minimal and almost unnoticable unless you come very close, so I didn't ask for insurance or any money. I try to ignore it. I might try to take out some fine scratches by using my pc.

It just seems like no matter how careful you are, you are always bound to get new ones sooner or later. For example, I always try parking next to better cars than mine like the Audi's, the other new beemers, Mercedes, etc., figuring that if they hit my door, they risk hitting theirs too.

Well, not true. Ha, I caught this older lady getting out of her new Cadillac CTS. She opened the door carefully so no problem there. Then she got her bigass hocking purse with some metal buckles or something. Boom, it hit my car. No major scratches or dings, but you can see a black rub mark on the door. Man.....................

I parked on a higher level in a garage so the chance of someone parking next to me would be slim. When I get back from eating I see a a newer Benz parked pretty close to my passenger side. I was thinking they would not hit my car....well this is how I got my 1st scratch. I was so pissed, I kicked the bottom of their door. A closer look at the Benz showed the car had dents, dings and scratches. Now I know why they don't care about other people cars they park next to.
