My Lexus Running Windows XP (Pictures)

This is an amazing mod for iTunes/Windows Media Player... I saw one guy who used a Mac Mini instead of a laptop... However, because you have a laptop, its probably a much easier updating of the laptop.
One thing i'd suggest is to put the computer to go on hibernation when the car is turned off. To turn a computer on from hibernation only takes a couple seconds and leaves you the way you were before it goes into that mode.
Im loving the setup... how hard is it to switch back to the normal navigation/back up camera?

Thats some cool stuff. So how good is the touch screen integration? Or are you just using a mouse? Now how did you get your vga to hook up to the stock nav? Are you using a rca converter or something?

The reason why i didn't go with hibernation is because 1) hibernation still drains the laptop battery. 2) i have a start up script that launches a couple of applications, and the script will only work when the computer is turned on

yeah i used a VCA to RCA converter, but if you have a laptop with an RCA out, you should be all set.

Good job. I did this in my previous car but to the next level. here's a pic...
Bad picture but I put a mini ATX mb in the glove box with a car power supply and wifi card with a mini 80g HD. Connected the amps to the sound card. Integrated an xenarc vga touch screen into the dash. I ran a software on top of XP that was designed for car PC's. Very cool but after a year or so the PC started acting up from all the driving and heat. Wouldn't do it again but was fun to try.
