Default E-Brake question

Hi I read the thread about using the E-brake to park the car and it will extend the life of the tranny. After I read that thread I start to use e-brake to park my car (Put the shift gear in park then press the e-brake, is that how I should do it?) Sometimes when I turn on my car I forgot to release the e-brake , will this damage anything beside the e-brake?

ummm no major damage should be done if your don't run your car above like 5 miles an hour. it takes some time you'll get used to turning it off.

put it in park while still holding the brake, press the ebrake, then let go of the brake.

and if you happen to forget to disengage the e-brake and you drive off the car will warn you and tell you that you have the park brake on.

Always use the ebrake.

It's better to affect the brakes instead of the tranny in case of unwanted movement...
