Default nav hack?

I know this has been discussed before but I am lazy. What does the Nav Hack do? Does it allow you to watch DVD's on your screen like the ML allows? If not than is that possible in itself?

Also, I have an 06 IS350 and want to know if the illuminated scuff plates are plug and play for my car.

Thanks,

Ah, lazy one...

If you have the ML system integrated with the Nav system (meaning it has the DVD player), you can play DVDs without the car being in park and without the parking brake engaged. Without the nav hack, you would have to be in Park and with parking brake engaged to watch movies.

Also, illuminated scuff plates are plug-and-play...

I got the nav option with no ML. However, I wish I did now. I don't believe there were any on the lot with that option that I remember.

Is there a way to watch the DVD's without the ML system upgrade?

Also, where can I buy the scuff plates at?

Not on the nav system.

You would need an aftermarket DVD player, and a really good technician if you want it to connect to the nav system...
