Lug nut torque

Anybody know the lug nut torque specs for an 06 IS350 spot package?

lobuxracer 03-26-07 12:07 PM

76 lb-ft. Same as every other Toyota for the last 30 years or so (except the Landcruiser and Lexus equivalents.)

Does anyone have a picture of the correct pattern to tighten these Lugs?

tighten as you draw a star, or just go around like a circle.

i torqued my wheels to 85lbs.

slowandlow 04-25-07 01:34 PM

on my old car i 100 lbs with snap over torque wrench

the ideal way of tightening your lugs is the "star" pattern.. it ensures that the wheel is torqued evenly all around.. I set mine at 80ft/lbs

I do 100 ft-lbs since I use anti-seize on the lugs.

I just use an airgun and go until it stops... It's terrible... I actually USED to care many years ago... :)

I'm so glad I will never be in the market for a used IS350...

I don't know of a single owner on this forum that seems to take worse care of their cars... :p

Might be referring to a Snap On.

Regardless, hope all y'all that are overtorqueing don't get warped rotors later on.
