Default Custom Sound Systems

I love custom sound systems. Factory is great and all but I would love to see pictures of what people have done to there IS old or new. I also like to see pics of the build process. So post those pics and tell us what you have.

TRiCHau25, Wow, your head unit looks really good. I was afraid to change mine out because I didn’t think they could make it look good but wow, they did a great job with yours. Nice set up. I also like how you have a good system but you still have trunk space. How does it sound?

ehhh my system is pretty boring looking, but i didnt want to spend more money.

my subs are FI Qs and the company is pretty new, but i researched alot and went on forums and they were said to be good.

IDK why, Ive been reading theough the forum posts and im reading some say they relocated it to the glove box, maybe something about keeping the A/C functioning properly, right now im so confused, All I can figure right now is that Im going to have to do my own custom wiring because I cant seem to find anything that will plug into the factory harness for speakers and such, im just not finding the indo I need to unconfuse me

Valeoray,

When I had my Volvo, it only had a cassett player, I got a Dash kit and a wiring kit for it, aftet I soldered up my wiring kit to the new HU harnesd, I went to my car and in 10 minutes I had A new strereo with CD, Ipod control and hands free bluetooth, But with my IS, im not finding that im gonna be ablr to that so simply as I did with the Volvo

The difference between many Lexus vehicles and other brands is they combine audio, HVAC, navigation all into one system. This has its pluses and minuses. One negative is for guys like yourself who want to change it out with an aftermarket device. When you do some research you'll see that there is no easy way to change it out like a typical am/fm/cd player single/double din unit. It's possible but not going to be as easy as a 5 minute swamp like some of the other cars you've had in the past.
