There is actually alot of aftermarket D4S in Japan. Just not sure on the brands.
will this give the headlights a brighter white or add more of a blue tint?

It's a interesting color. I call it a icy white color. Reminds me of...a Glacier.

It looks really good.

The price is on the website.

Everytime I look at my HID's I want blue-er HID's but when I see an IS with stock HID's coming down the road I'm like wow I like those and then I see they are the same as mine =\

Here is my follow up in last few days.

Xenonvalot.com - DOES NOT have the D4S Philips 42402 V269 (5800K) in stock.
Xenonvalot.com - They have 6000K replacement, made in Japan. (I am waiting on reply about the manufacturer and pricing/s+h to USA)
D4S on fleetbay - Regular D4S Philips 42402 (4800k). These are the same as o/e stock ones in our car.

According to Tom's Racing Japan, Tom's has the 5500k replacement for it.
Part Number: 90981-TD4S1

Which one will you pick? JDM 6000k, Tom's 5500k, or Philips 5800K?

The ones that XenonValot carry (6000K). It's made by SOLAM in Japan.

It's a very solid bulb.

HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. HID was a optional accessory on the 2006 IS's. Standard now on the 2007.

They are gas filled bulbs with about 35K volts running through them when they turn on.
the standard is that you have to pay $XXX for the option. u got no choice!

Your looking at the wrong price buddy.

That price is D2 bulbs.

The D4 bulbs are 15,750 Yen after 5% tax. Comes out to about $133 USD each.

Price is quite normal.
