Default taking vinyl overlays off

I need to know kind of quickly, what's the best way to take vinyl overlays off your lights? soap and water and try to peel it off? or should i just peel it off without getting it wet?

is there going to be any residue that i need to clean off?

i just peeled it off, i don't think soup and water will help at all. and there will be residue from the glue from the vinyl. i used goo gone to remove the residue, whatever you use just be careful not to get it on your paint.

Just like window tint, ammonia will take that sucker right off there.

use a heat gun or a blowdryer heat up the vinyl and then peel it off... use soap and water (or goo-be-gone) to clean off the residue

I had the smoke film on my headlights and foglights, and i'm getting the housings painted instead. I still have my tails and reflectors on though.

goo gone works pretty well and will not tarnish it. but if u use ammonia or alcohol it will.

when i took my overlays off the tails i had no residue...but maybe its because i took them off the day after they were put on...if u do have residue goo gone will definitely take it off..i used that to remove the residue from my fogs when i took those overlays off
