i know that there were some discussion on the rear fog lights on the is but has anyone actually done the diy? i am talking about the rear lights that can be found on the bumper and on the rear light assembly next to the license plate.

The bumper "lights" aren't lights, they're just reflectors. There are fog lights in the rear taillight assembly, but you'd need switchgear from a European IS to get them working.
