I think dental floss would work, I'd just be careful not to break the badge when pulling it off. I'm planning to paint mine black too, I'm just not sure what spray paint to use that won't just peel right off. Any suggestions?

As for what to paint them with, just go buy some DupliColor automotive paint that comes in spray cans at Wal-Mart, AutoZone, etc... The important part is to sand them a bit before you spray them. The best sandpaper for an application like this would be modeling sandpaper - it comes in small 3x4" sheets, (which you can also find at most Wal-Mart type stores) and it has the fine grit needed for a good-looking and durable finish.

You don't really want to sand anything off - the purpose of the sanding is to make the surface textured so that the paint will have something to adhere to, not to take anything off. And yes, DupliColor does have clearcoat spray available too.

The only ones that I know of that are readily available for purchase are the "Black Pearl" emblems from Sewell Lexus:

I went to a local body shop and they said that there were no holes. Good thing I read this before I attempted to take them off.

On another note, does anyone one know if they are if the 07's might not have holes? and they quoted me 170 to fill them in.. is that too much?

You need to sand it first otherwise the paint will peel off easily
