What kinda tires do you have?
Hey guys,
I have an 06 is350 and I've had to replace my rear tires twice already due to flats and sidewall damage. I'm sorta pissed Lexus doesn't have a warranty on their tires, so I'm gona take mine to a local shop this time and buy a whole new set of tires.
Just curious, who's had their tires replaced with non-stock tires, and what are you using? I'm in northern california, so I see a good mix of wet/dry weather.
THanks,
CT

I had the Bridegstone Potenza (Sp?) tires on my car right from the facory and have had no issues. I also took the rim and tire warranty...so no issues for me.
I would head over to the Tire section in this forum and check there. Also another good sopt too look is in the aftermarket wheel thread at the top of the fourm. You will find quite a few Toyo, Potenze, Dunlop and Falken tire owners. You can also head to one of our sponsors tirerack.com.

Here's my short list:
1. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
2. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A
3. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position
Note that #2 & 3 are not the same as the OEMs from the factory . . .

Here is a spreadsheet that I put together with some various tires available for our 2IS's.
Also here is the thread I started that may be of use.

anyone here have any experiences with BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2? THey have a 300AA treadwear, and they cost less than the stock Dunlop. I also heard they are very sticky as well, maybe this would be a good tire for the strip and daily use.

I have Toyo T1-R on mine and so far I love them granted that they only have about 2000 miles. I wanted to go with Michellin PS2 but they're just so damn expensive.

I've had good luck with the Goodyear F1 GS-D3's. They are a good compromise of performance, weight, treadwear and cost. I replaced my last set with just shy of 20K and they would have lasted another 5 to 10K except for the hole in one. Good for golf, not so good for tires.
