IS250 remote problem - unable to unlock doors
I have a 06 IS250 and now I'm not able to unlock the doors with the remote. I have to use the small key inside of the remote. When I want to unlock the car, a red light on the remote flash . Then, when I'm in the car and I want to start the car, the light of start button doesn't come green. Some time after a few moment it comes green.
I called Lexus Canada and they said they will not tow the car because the car wasn't in the road, it was at my home. I will have to paid for the tow! I live about 650km (400 miles) from my Lexus dealer. Or maybe to a Toyota dealer 80 km(50 miles)
After that I call my Lexus dealer and they told me to have both remote and push start until I heard 3 bip. But that never happen.
My Lexus dealer is suppose to call me back, but they never heard about that. If they doesn't find anything to do, they will tow my car for free.
My 2 remote does the same thing. Did someone know what happen and what I have to do?

An other things, when I push the button on the handle door to lock doors I must wait ~30 secondes before the doors lock and for the unlock is the same thing, I must wait ~30 secondes with my hand on the handle before the door unlock .
I did this test with both remote in my hand.

Do you have any other devices on your keychain? I've seen this before where my keycard for work was on my keychain along with the rest of my keys and it interfered with the chip inside the key of my older GS430. Pulled the keycard away from the key by a couple inches and the car would start fine. Let it dangle on the keychain with the rest of the keys and the car wouldn't start.
Not sure if it applies in your case, but something to try -- try removing the remote from your keychain and see if it works. Couldn't hurt.

Thanks, same problem, but I'm not able to reinitialize that. To start the car it seem to be ok, sometime a litle bit long before the light come to green. Very long to lock and unlock the door, sometime is most than a minute.

Your problem sounds very much like this member's ES350 which acted like your car. The dealer ended up replacing a computer in the car I believe.
Here is the link and just a part of her first post, but if you go there and read you will see her post and exactly what was done.

On 9/6/06 I went out to leave for work at 6:30 a.m. When I pushed the start button I got the message "no key is detected". I looked in my purse and yes, it was there, so I tried again and got the same message. Luckily we have 3 cars and 2 drivers so I did have something to drive to work. The 2nd set of keys wouldn't work either- it wouldn't start, doors wouldn't lock or unlock and trunk wouldn't open from the "key".
Someone from the service department and a technician came to my home later that day and it started -for them on about the 10th try. They shut it off and it took 8-10 tries to start again. They took the car to the dealership- both quite puzzled. Of course, they've never had this problem before-except for someone who had 2 Lexuses and was trying to use the wrong key to start their car.
They contacted Lexus technical assistance and replaced the computer module- it still didn't start right. A Lexus field engineeer was supposed to look at it today, 9/18/06, and the service department finally called today to tell me that it is fixed- a connection was the problem
