downshifts while coasting?

downshifts while coasting?

I noticed something yesterday...
I was coasting at like 80mph, in 6th with my rpms really low, and then suddenly the car downshifts and the rpms shoot up to 4kish... wtf?

also, when in etc power mode, i'll be idling at a stop light with my rpms in the 4000's, is this normal?

Mine does that only after I tap the brakes on a long downgrade.

That definitely doesn't sound right.

That's one hell of an idle...I have no idea how that even happens haha

MAF sensor dirty? I don't know, tat's all I could think of for the high idling. As for the downshifting...yeah if you accidently tapped a little sometimes it just jumps.
