Default Just got a call from Lexus...

Hi guys,

They just called, the car JUST came off the truck, my question is how long should I expect before I can actually pick it up, I was honestly hoping to take it from them tommorow, but they said probably tuesday or something?

07, IS350, Black/Black, Lux. Nav.

regards,

I would say Saturday. Give them time tomorrow to prep it (don't rush them) and pick it up Saturday in the daylight so you can check it out for any issues. That's what I did, and that is also what the dealer recommended.

and... Congratulations!

Almost every car that comes from the factory has some cardboard and plastic wrapped around the brakes, wheels, interior, hood, etc. The dealer has to remove those items and check for any problems before the car rolls off the lot. It's just a final inspection before the owner drives off.

IMO, I would only give them a day to do the prep and inspection. Any longer and their could be a risk of some idiot salesman selling the car by mistake.

When mine arrived, off the truck @ 1:00pm. I picked it up @ 3:30pm, same day. Less chance for people to f*** around with it, as it was the first FULLY loaded one they ever had.

That's a few hours work at the MOST. I would want the car the same day it rolls off the truck. I would actually prefer to remove that plastic/cardboard stuff myself. Giving the dealership more than a few hours to do it will give them a chance to screw something up... or sell the car like you said

Probably one of the few fully loaded Sport's ever made! You have a rare car... I'd love to see a picture of your dashboard to the left of the steering wheel... You should not have any blanks correct? (e.g. - All the button panels are filled since you have PA, PCS, and HW)

hehe, that's what I thought, but HW is one button, PCS is on the steering wheel, and PA doesn't have a button.

So how many blanks do you have?

PA has no button? So, you can't disable it?

1 blank. I put a 1IS coin holder in the 2nd blank. PA is disabled thru the multifunction display/buttons.
