Luxury Sport Package???
I was speaking with my local Lexus dealers online division and he said he has a Luxury Sport Package IS350. I asked him what he meant by that, since I had never heard of it nor was it on the Lexus website. This is what he said:
The 2006 IS350'S came with the luxury pkg only or the sport pkg only. When they came out with the 2007'S they stoped making them with the Mark Levinson and they combined the sport pkg and the luxury pkg together. Does that make any sense? Let me know?
---
Is this guy talking out of his backside or what?

SoCal allocations are limited...
Hmmm...
He is wrong with a couple of things.
Sport and Luxury is not combined. However, SoCal allocations no longer provide Sport or Luxury packages. In SoCal, you can get either Premium with some other options, or the X-Package with some other options.
Mark Levinson is still available, but not in SoCal allocations.
CONCLUSION: If you want either Luxury, Sport, or Mark Levinson options in SoCal, you have to Special Order the car.

Sigh... Does EVERY Lexus dealership just lie and say that anything outside their normal allocation is "no longer made". WTF?!?!?!
And what is with this "sport and luxury are combined"?!?!? Insanity!

Yes, its rather unfortunate. I was at the dealership yesterday and the dealer said there's only one Luxury package in the entire country somewhere in the midwest and that I should just settle with what they had. He also said GS450h's and RX400h's were selling 15-25k above MSRP and I was like isn't selling above MSRP against Lexus corporate rules? He said no... I had never heard so much BS from one man in such a short period of time.

Absolutely. I have only one dealer 60 miles from me. I told them I wanted a 250RWD here in NEPA. They told me it doesn't exist and good luck trying to get one. They refused to order it and told me I need to decide on an AWD or 350 before we could do business.

Drive as far as you have to! Don't settle for the dealers crap! 60 miles is nothing. I emailed dealerships up to 300 miles away looking for the best deal on my 2007. The best I found was about 70 miles away, got $3100 off MSRP on my special order 2007. I can give you the dealership/salesman info. My sales guy seems less dishonest than most PM me if you are interested...
