Default Need help..can 3M clear bra damage paint? Bad experience cont.

4 days after my clear bra installed by a "prof." it looks like moisture or paint is lifting off under film. I am not sure since I do not want to peal it back before I take it to get it redone. This install experince is getting worse day by day. I looked at my rear window after a wash and noticed a 3-4" scratch from the inside I said WTF wha is going on. Then my 75 yr old dad (no slouch) noticed that the clear bra film was cut ragged or uneven in the front. What do I need to do to get decent service. I don't want to be an ***, but I am P.O.ed. They had my car overnight and still did not get done till late the next day. He said he had another customer that had a "problem", it was too late by then to puill it out. So I am taking it back first thing monday AM and want to stress a redo and get it back by end of day. If I get crap then I will ask for my $$ back. How do I deal with these people to get things done right?

Make sure this idiot did not cut your paint. I've heard of some horror stories about amatuers cutting the paint on cars.

He is certified 3M Scotchgaurd installer, but I won't be able to tell if car is razored unless he takes off film. I like the clear bra and want it to stay on but he needs to reinstall it. I guess I could stay and watch.

i don't think being "certified" means *****. My coworker had her car X5 done by a 3M certified dealer (found on 3M's website) and he put on some kind of jigsaw puzzle that didn't line up right everywhere. He also used a one of those surgical blades to cut the bra on the car. He asked for permission to trim on the car and she said go ahead as long as it doesn't damage the paint. Well this idiot (Profinish Motorsport in Livermore) did cut right through and put some real deep scars on her hood and bumper. He is now saying that she gave him teh f**'n ok to do it so it's not his fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also heard about another similar experience on g35driver.com with the guy doing the same thing. All I can say is, be careful out there CL buddies.
