Default Tungsten Pearl shows scratches easy?

Im seriously thinking about trading in my Onyx Black for it. Maybe even for the Starfire Pearl. My Onyx is driving me crazy with all the scratches.

The color does actually keep pretty clean, that was my main reason for chosing this color. The main thing that annoys me are the bugs on the bumper which show up easily (as with any light color car). I assume they would be less visible on a darker color, but swirl marks & scratches are a bigger threat. As of today I havent washed the car in almost 2 weeks, and drive approx 800 miles a week, and it still looks pretty clean. As far as swirl marks and scratches, the color hides it quite well. Hope that helps.

Silver or white is best in hiding scratches.

I am pleased with my TP. I have never abused the finish when washing but expect if I had, it would not show as much as any dark colour. I have had several black and dark blue cars and will never again go that route...wash and dust after a few hours. I realize TP is a very common colour but for me, it is the BEST looking.

Hides swirls well, but bugs, tar and rust spots stand out.

Ok well i finally bought the Scratch-X today and guess what? That stuff is like MAGIC! OMG! The scratches disapeared and i topped it off with maguire's clear coat wax. Awesome results. Nevermind trading my car in now haha.

I like white and silver cars because of the way it hides swirl marks and the such. Easier to clean, and you clean it less often.

As for the rust and bugs and tar, you get to notice them on every car as well...

I don't think rust is a problem...bugs & tar...an easy remove,,,swirls, not so easy.

VERY happy with tungsten, (although you see it most often I think). After every wax, it looks as bright as the day I drove it off the lot.

I have a BBW after having had two navy blue cars before my IS. Even though I much prefer dark colors, I got tired of having the car always looking dirty and scratched. But now I love my BBW and I can go far longer between washes and it still looks good. Although I know I have read on this board that many consider BBW a "girl's color". (Which I am.) I can totally understand why you would be ready for a change from the Onyx. Although they do look awesome when they're all shiny and clean (and you can't see the swirls -- I hated those on my dark blue Audi....)

After owning 2 black color cars before, I swear I will never get black again in my life! Ever....
