umm its 3.7k off MSRP which is pretty good... most dealers are only willing to do 2k rite now so its a good bargain if you can get it. but try to get the MSRP price as the OTD price and you're golden.

Well, I'm not an accountant, but it seems to me that 39,732 - 34,995 = 4,737 which is alot closer to 4,700 than 3.7k, must be that new math they're teaching kids nowadays . . .

Yea the deal is kind of hard to believe.....in the end of his email it states that when someone asks for a quote through internet he then takes it to the GM and then the GM+Internet guy both sit down and come up with a price so im not worried about the GM finding out since the price is from him. I wasn't planning on getting an IS till around Febuary-March but now I may consider it unless the that price will stay as is....it does also state in the email come in to the dealer with this email printed out at ANYTIME to get the discounted price. The car is $39,180 MSRP with the factory options.
The Spoiler and preferred package, and other dealer "installed" options, don't factor those into the price as much since you can get them from many online sources for invoice cost.
It's a good deal. Not great, but good. The car is sitting on the lot, so about $4k off MSRP sounds right to me. The dealer is still making thousands of dollars in profit. So it's a win-win situation.
Plus you don't have to wait for your car :-)

I was looking at the price without dealer accessories.
