newbie here so i currently have an is 250 awd and i live in new york and i was wondering what is the vdim is all about. does it have the same reaction as the awd and what is the difference

 

VDIM is the combination of traction control, stability control, ABS, braking distribution, all under the same software "umbrella". Available only on the IS350.

 

Yes, VDIM is available for the IS350 only. All components are integrated to act as one system through VDIM.

If you want the IS250, it will have VSC and TRAC (amongst other things), but they are not as "integrated" as VDIM. Each component acts independently, rather than interdependently.
