Default Reflective Tint

Does anyone have a pic of a 2IS with reflective (silverish) tint?

If you're trying to see if it "looks" good, just realize that it does not "feel" good...

It won't work on something as classy as a Lexus.

Vote NO on silver tints!

"Tints?" When did "tint" become plural?

It's window tint. And the mirrored stuff will definitely get you a ticket.

I didn't realize we have a grammar police. Sorry about that, don't tell my college professor. You may be working overtime since I've seen worse grammar in here.

Wow, I didn't know I was that old school. hahaha

I saw this type of tint on a dropped silver SC430 with 20" iForge rims and aftermarket exhaust at Spago (Beverly Hills). I guess the owner doesn't have class. The valet had a big smile on his face when he drove it off and parked it in front of all the other cars.

Ok maybe it wasn't mirror like (my bad), but it definitely wasn't charcoal. It looked more silver(ish)/reflective. What is it called?

I've seen it work on a few cars (some factory on the rears), and it does look good when applied correctly in combination with nice wheels. If you can't find a photo of someones car, consider editing your car in photoshop or something...and just go with what you like.

Yes you're right, it doesn't work on all cars which is the reason why I want to see a pic first. I would prefer to see it on a TP 2IS since that's what I have. I certainly would not put it on a dark colored car. Just trying to see what options I have and not be like everyone else. Then again, I don't want it to look ghetto fab, like the other guy said.

*banging head on desk for the 100th time* The navigation antenna is on the windshield right next to the rain sensor.

Silver tint still sucks however.

Personally i'm not a huge fan of mirrored tint, i think a nice 35% tint would look great a these cars. That's just my .02.

Me too. I don't think the tint I am referring to is called "mirror tint". It's silver, but not mirror. Maybe I should change my original post.

Hey Flip! I think I know what you're trying to say. You're looking for reflective tint and most companies make it. I think that as long as it not overdone it will look good! This tint has an advantage over the other tints because it usually contains a higher metallic concentration and doesn't fade as much over time.

Be warned though, this tint is illegal in many states regardless of the %. The 5% tint I got for my car is 3M ColorStable and it is a bit reflective, but not too overdone. I love how it looks and would recommend it to anyone. Hope this helps!

I'll just drop by the tint shop nearby and see how they look. I'm sure they'll have pics of cars with these on.

Here is my ghetto fabulous tint. Dark semi-reflective, but not mirror.

100% metallic
