So I'm picking my new Matador Red IS 350 on Saturday and I would like to get it tinted before I go since it's about an hour away and there aren't any great tint shops out where I live. I was referred to a shop that is supposedly the best in Minneapolis (Auto Visions) and they offered me three different tints.

Llumar Platinum
Llumar Platinum Plus
Solarguard Quantum

I'm not very familiar with tints and since I won't be able to see them in person first I'm hoping some of you can help. Since the car is red I think a black(ish) color would be preferable to a more silver color?

Of those three films, which would you go with?

I don't even see a regular Platinum film listed on Llumar's website? Am I correct in thinking that between the Platinum Plus and the Quantum, the PP is the "blacker" of the two?

dude i have the same car, same color, bought it on the same day as you, and i'm also looking for tent photos on the matador red. havent seen but a few on here. good luck. i love my ride, still havent floored it.

Honestly, pictures won't do squat for you. I have a Matador Red w/ a Cashmere interior. I can tell you that the same tint will look darker with a grey interior and even darker with the black. I went with 40% on the sides and 30% on the rear & back. Knowing what I know now, I'd probably gone 20% on the rear & back . . .

i have the solargard quantum 35% and it looks awesome. in fact, it actually looks darker because my interior is black!
