You would have to spray them as the tint wouldnt work due to the conturs of our lights. While i was at aerotect getting my reflectors smoked i asked. With that said i wasnt going to take the lights apart and permently spray then with a tint spray. Non reverseable so im out. LOL
I just did the reflector tint and red outs.

^^ That's right I think, cause there is no way to cut a vinyl into the shape of our tail lights to go around the contour. Plus, if it is made possible, application would be a b****. You can, take out your tail lights and spray them with tinting spray, like mentioned already.

And also, to chrome rims costs a lot, and it's more worth it if you bought a set of chrome rims aftermarket.

I actually saw an IS with dark vinyl applied taillights at my dealership for service. It seems that the owner used several pieces to cover the taillight completely; I saw some of the edges on the light. It did look like a pain in the butt, but it worked.

As for chroming the wheels, it depends on how close you are to a place that can do it. Chroming is not the expensive part; it's the delivery, the installation, the hassle of not having your wheels as it gets chromed, etc. I got my wheels chromed for about $600, but I picked it up as an exchange. Delivery would be another $150, and installation/alignment is about another $150. Don't forget about lost time to do so.

Is it a permanent or removable job? Also, where in CA are you, Nor Cal or So Cal? I live in So Cal so I might want to go the same place as you if its removable and looks clean. Please post pics soon!

If you look online, there are places that chrome plate the IS wheels, you have to purchase the wheels and send them your non-chrome wheels. They do a swap.

Are they stick-ons or was it a permament spray job? Looks a little... pasty close up, but I'm sure it looks darn hawt from further away. Post more pics!
