Default Jack Stand Location

I'm sure the amount of us who have had a reason to get underneath our cars is rather limited right now but I wondering for those who have, did you use jack stand and where did you place them? I read the manual and I can see on pg. 354 that there are four jack up points (for spare tire jack) that look sufficient for jack stands, however I am a little nervous from what I saw when I tried to use jack stands at these locations over the past weekend.

I placed jack stands at the front jack up points as seen on pg. 354 of the manual. As I began to lower the car, I noticed slight bending begining to occur . I did not want to risk lowering the car anymore since I was not convinced it was okay. Any thoughts?

I plan to use ramps when possible, but it would be nice to use jack stands at these locations.

well the jack stands I used are seen here.

The jack that comes with the car has a notch in the center that is deeper than the notch seen in the above link so I wonder if this type of stand is not good to use on this car. When I was doing some shopping I noticed that some jack stands have deeper notches in the center than others.

I think you answered your own question.

Exactly what you said, answered your own question. Only that it is hard to notice where to place it, usually on some vehicles it sticks out more than the IS. I had trouble finding it once and just used two jack stands, one on each side, and jack it up that way (two people job).

It's there, just in the center like all vehicles.
