Pointers for the drag
I plan on getting to the track ASAP. What are some things that I need to do in order for me to get the most out of the car. i.e. turn off traction control? shift with paddles or just gun it? power brake? turn ECT power on? lower rear tire psi to what?
i have a 350.
thanks for any help

1/4 tank of gas, power mode, and punch it. then try with vdim off. Results will vary based on track condition, as many are repaved in off-season.
Reaction time is a big factor - nail it when the tree gets to the last yellow.

Do a big burnout at first so the crowd cheers, then when you run a high 14 second 1/4 mile caused you messed up your launch/reaction time the crowd will only be half dissapointed.
I am going to the track tomorrow also to see what I can do.

Most people are concerned with the ET and MPH, RT is just something to bust on your friends about... so unless you're competing with someone forget the tree until you have a few runs under your belt.

- VDIM off
- ECT PWR on
- spare tire/jack and winter mats (trunck and summer mats too) out
- hold car and launch at ~1500
- rear tires at 29psi
- front tires at just under max
- tranny in D
- don't burn out (unless you get some water on your tires or for a photo op)
I think that's it... just mash the gas and some 13 seconds later, it's all done.
Here are my track experience and results:
