Default Rattles?

I only have ~1200 plus miles on my car and have stared to notice Rattles. Seems like metal lose somewhere and the noise seems to be coming somewhere from the Driver side door panel or the dash. I can not seem to isolate it. On a smooth road I do not hear it but the slightest of vibration on the road and this noise gets to be non-stop. Mind everyone, I live in north east and there are no smooth roads. Its driving me crazy.

Has anyone else encountered similar a problem with there IS, and was the dealer able to help resolve?

Please advise.

i have had multiple rattles and have been to the dealer multiple times. one rattle was coming from just below the left side air vent. the knee airbag had to be replaced and the worn parts insulated, problem solved have not heard the rattle since. the second rattle was coming from above the center console, dash needed to be pulled apart and worn areas reinsulated and they installed noise kits, (on a side note the mechanic made a huge gouge on my radio face free of charge so now i need to go see the dealer again which will be the 7 - 8 time in a 3 month period. now i am hearing a bit of a rattle coming from the left side of the car but i can not isolate it atm because it seems to be pretty speratic.

Same here, noise from driver's side vent/dash area and you're also in the NE,....hmmmm. I think it could be heater related, because this AM it was +3C outside and not a creak! Sounds like rubbing plastic here.

My IS is my 5th new vehicle, and the first to be rattle free from the first day.

Same rattle here - below left side heater vent. Took it to Lexus and had it fixed in about 15 minutes.
Now my sunroof squeeks when I have it tilted open.

Do you guys get air/wind noise from your drivers door??

Very little rattles here but when we had very frigid cold weather there were some here and there but none now. At times when going over a very bumpy road there may be a little noise but thats when i turn the volume up . Thus far ive been very happy with the overall qaulity of the IS.

Too cold to open the sunroof here, but yes, the wind noise from the driver's door.

Nope - though a nice '64 with a 6 switch completely restored would cost as much or more!

If I said dr. Dre or Snoop Dogg, then I could understand the Impala reference!

I'm with you...4,700 miles and not one rattle. This is actually my first new car that didn't have rattles right off the bat (previously owned Acura and Infiniti).

Passenger Door occasionally (less and less frequently) sounds like a geiger counter.
