Surround not working correctly with certain DVD-A discs.
So I was all excited to check out my ML with some DVD-A discs I've had sitting around for a while but was disappointed when I was listening, and noticed that the rear effects were completely missing... Now these were of the Dual Disc variety where it's CD on one side DVD on the other. It's also not JUST the DVD-A on that side but some video content as well... although the player definitely recognizes them as DVD-A.
The discs were
Nine Inch Nails: The Downward Spiral
and
Nine Inch Nails: With Teeth
If I played the video content encoded with surround it played correctly but it was recognized as Dolby Digital, where the audio portion was only recognized as 2 channel.
Any clues, and is this the case on other DVD-A only discs?
Thanks!
