does the IS come ready for sat radio meaning you just buy the kit and have it installed or do you HAVE to order it when you purchase?

Yeah, lots of info... but the short of it is yes, it's pre-wired. No need to order anything... just pay for the kit and install at the dealer.

 

thanks, I think this should be part of tha faq. sewell lexus has it for 299 but says nothing about the antenna.

 

299 doesn't sound bad, but I wasn't aware the install was even out yet? BTW, you mention an antenna, so you know the fin-esqu BMW/Audi antenna won't be part of the install, (unless it's done at the factory--eventually that'll be an option) instead they'll put a little box in your dash window or rear, I'm told.

 

who told you that? I wouldnt mind a box on either the dash or the parcel shelf as long as its not ugly and it works.

 

My dealer. The kit they'd already put in a GS430, looked pretty good. I won't complain, just as long as it works!
