So this will NOT work with the car's stock nav screen? That's lame!?

I'd wait about up to a year for Sirius. I personally feel it's that much better.

I personally agree i believe Sirius is well worth they wait. I've had both and Sirius fits me better. My sirius is on order and while i wait i'll be using the fm modulator while i wait.

I just spoke with my dealer and they hope Sirius will come out by summer. They are not getting any definite dates. This really sucks as I am dying to have this itegrated in my car. I do not want to use a portable. Anyone else have any better info on a date?

I'm aware there are commercials on XM, are there also commercials on Sirius?

Just a heads-up for those that can't make up their mind: both Sirius and XM offer a free 3-day pass to listen to their entire lineup of channels online.

Also...DirecTV offers XM's music channels in the 800s...and Dish Network offers Sirius' Music Channels. You can test them out there.

XM tends to offer deeper music....songs off albums that you may not always know. Sirius tends to stick with the hits.

Some other broad strokes differences....

Sirius has NFL, NBA, Nascar (starting in '07), College Sports, Howard Stern, Elvis Radio, Rolling Stones Radio, Martha Stweart, Maxim Radio, Cosmo Radio, Playboy Radio, NPR...
Here is a LINK to Sirius' exclusive programming...

XM has MLB, NHL, Opie and Anthony, Bob Edwards from NPR, Oprah Winfrey's channel, Ellen Show (tv broadcast), Tyra Banks Show (tv broadcast), College Sports, World Cup Soccer and more...

Feel free to ask me anything about either service. I know a lot about both XM and Sirius.

I'm not 100% sure about the free 3 day pass, but on my Sirius online subscription only has the music channels, not the talk radio. If you try the 3 day pass, you may only hear half the available stations.

A quick glance at their website confirms what you say: music channels only. Thanks for the correction.

XM has the most commercial free music channels. 5 channels have some commercials. Even with those 5, XM has more channels without commercials.

What channel is Bubba on? I used to listen to him when I lived in Tampa for 11 years.

I can't wait to get Sirius so I can listen to him again, but it's Monday-Friday 4-8PM Eastern time on Ch. 101.
