Default What Does it say ??

AWESOME Pix Tim ... Super sweet job on the lights!! Looks better than the stock HID's .

One question though - I noticed there is something written directly under the CD slot. I've looked at and driven several models here in New England and all of them had absolutely no writing in that area. What does it say??

Based on images I've seen elsewhere (including the brochure) It doesn't look like the ML option as there is just a small ML logo next to the Eject button, when so equipped. Have they changed the ML insignia since the brochure went to press???

I'm pretty sure its just some sort of warning sticker about inserting cd's- it was on mine and the dealer removed it before I took it home- not an ML thing

It's a little warning sticker for the thinking-impaired that tells you not to insert multiple CDs at a time or non-CD objects into the slot. Some dealers will remove it before the car is sold, others won't, but just about every customer will get rid of it in very short order, which is probably why you haven't seen one before. =)

Guess my memory is faulty -- I was confusing it with the warning in the manual. Thanks for the correction. =)

Default please verify HID info

tim817,

first of all, thank you for providing us this info.

I'm waiting for my IS350 and originally wanted a SP or Lux Package just for the HID. But now, I know I can just retrofit the car like what you did. Besides, I can't even find those higher packages even when I was ready to buy one.

The HID kit part you purchased is designated as H11 ?

I got the ebay link for the parking light and purchased one.

The fog light is the 9006 and I just need to pick one of these up still.

BTW, is the hi-beam in the same housing as the DRL?

Thanks,
D

tim817, did your warranty for your headlights and foglights become void after installing these new bulbs?
I went to the dealership today and was informed that I would be voiding my foglight assembly if I changed to aftermarket yellow bulbs.

Yes, the kit is H11 HID conversion kit. And our car use the high-beam bulbs for DRL.

I think it would void the warranty. But if u ever need warranty work just take them out and put the bulbs back in. The dealer wouldn't know anyway. The HID is a plug and play kit so it's easy to put all them back in without the dealer knowing it

Hi Tim,

Great post. Just wondering: My IS250 has OEM Xenons, and I just want to change the parking bulbs to the LED refractors like yours. How hard would this be? do I need to remove anything from the engine bay? Or are the parking brake bulbs easy to access?

Thanks!

It's pretty easy. U need to remove the engine covers. Then remove the dust cap that is hold by a metal clip. Just push the clip toward the front center of the car to remove the dust cap. Then turn the bulb housing counterclockwise and u be in bussiness

Hey jiggyman,
Did your IS250 came with Premium or sport package? I am just curious cuz nowhere can I find an IS trim with Xenon without the Lux or Sports package here in CA.

Thanks,
D
