Can't go shopping
I went to the mall today and set off 4 sensors in the mall. The only thing I had on me that I can think of that set them off is my key fob. Anybody else notice this???
what's funny is, nobody even stopped me once. |
For real??!! Well thats interesting.

That's what was happening to me yesterday at the mall. I was setting them off going in and out of stores. Even the stores that I didn't buy anything from. I'm not sure the key fob is really the reason for the alarms but, I can't think of anything else.

What stores is this happening at? The GS's fobs don't do it, but I don't have the IS yet to test it (!&%#ing winter)
|
What stores? I've noticed that many clothing companies are adding these special tags with the security sensors in them, in place of those old one that were attached to the items. You're supposed to cut them off after you get them home, but if you don't, it will set off the security devices at other stores, like the grocery store.
It's happened to me at Shaw's a couple times, when I was wearing new stuff from Gap or Banana Republic. Apparently it's been happening a lot since the salespeople just told me to ignore it (I had just walked in to the store). |
Well, I've been shopping like crazy lately and going into almost every store in the mall and all kinds of shops, I haven't set off one alarm yet until last night, but that was a security tag on a dvd I bought at Best Buy. Other than that, no alarms.

Stop stealing items and they won't go off! =P jk
|
When those alarms go off I just start walking fast without looking back. If they want me to waste my valuable time letting them root around through my bags they are going to have to chase me down.
|
Yeah...always run really really fast, and look suspicious as if you were trying to hide something, when those alarms go off...maybe yell ,"Start the car honey...I got the goods!"

The stores I had problems with were Target, Marshall Fields, Carson Pierre Scott. Later that day, I set one off at Jewel (only when I walked in though). |

i would be surprsied if it's the key too, i just hope it's an isolated incident for whatever reason. this is the wave of teh future (for most manufacturers) and it will be very funny if people got "alarmed" here and there |
:D
that's ******* funny |
