Since this is d-i-y, I plan to take these winter tires off if I can see a 2-3 week stretch without snow/ice and maybe put them back on each time for the 3-5 annual occurances of inclement weather here in KC.
Yes, for me very annoying since the display defaults back to tire pressure error message! Attached pic of wheel and clear bra today

Ken-

I dealt with Ryan in Parts. Very nice guy to work with.

Part of my discount may have come from the fact that they forgot to add in the cost of the 4 sensors and then quoted me nearly the same figure as you received. I held them to the original price. Sorry - I should have mentioned that earlier. But, I think there's wiggle room for you. He was surprised to hear Tire Rack cold put together a package for $1,600 WITH sensors. Maybe this will help if they want more business.

Excellent picture! What again did you end up going with, that looks like an 18 inch package from TireRack? How much did it run ya? Thx!

US $1522.00, without the sensors The sensors are US$117.00 including the vale stem kit. Give them a call you may be able to get a package price.

Default Blizaak LM25 on OEM 17's

Just did the swap. I'll post pix tomorrow - charging the batteries on my camera now. I feared the 17" wheels on 225-width winter tires would look a little puny, but it's actually pretty decent - a testament to the hunkered down stance of the new IS. And the tread pattern on the LM25's aren't too bad, either.

We're supposed to get between 2-5" of snow tonight, so this came just in time. I'll let you know how the car handles it.

Hi guys. Pix attached of the new snows on dealer-installed 17's. Snowfall last night in Chicago suburbs wasn't exactly the 4" they predicted. The car handled great, though. Felt stable and sure-footed. I'd highly recommend this or a similar setup.

Happy motoring.

Default One more...

Doesn't exaclty fill the wheel wells like the 18's, but the 350 is now that much more stealthy.

ScottE. . . I like what you did with the 350 for snow. We just had 4 inches. Go figure, this was the weekend my dealer was going to give me a 350 to drive for the weekend. I too think the original 17's with snow are a great way to go. I might consider another set of the 18's but the width of the back tires is a lot of snow to push through especially with the ride height of the sport package.

Winter is suddenly happening all over.

I got the G Spiders withe the LM 25s on this morning.

The roads were just wet so not a real good test of the set up.

So far so good as they are very quiet and stick just fine.

The G Spiders have a nice grayish finish.

Here is a quick look.

I will take some more daytime shots.

Fair amount of snow right now, just in the immediate region...expecting about 6 inches. My winter tires and rims from tirerack have arrived and are at home right now.

My IS350 has been at the dealership all day for a spoiler and some other things, they gave me an ES330 loaner (which is ok in the snow).

Dealership calls me at work and says keep the ES330 overnight, your IS350 with these tires not going to be a good idea to try to drive home.
