ok when my driver side window is half way down and I close the door, it makes a squeak sound and the window drops a little. Is this happening to anyone else? my car is currently at the dealer getting this checked out and he just called me to say that it was normal. just wondering if this was happening to anyone else...

PS. when you bring your car into service at the dealer arent you supposed to get like a rental car? he didnt offer it and I didnt ask for it.

 

if you want a loaner car, you should check with the service dept before you bring it in, to ensure availability of one. If you just drop in, a loaner is not always available. If you didn't ask for it, no one would offer it automatically, esp if it only takes a short time to check things out. There's no money to the dealership unless chargeable--either to you or the manufacturer--services were rendered.

 

yep, it is "normal" for all Toyota's and Lexus's I have driven...

 

but only the driver side does it, none of the other windows do that. I dont think its normal my supra and sc300 never did this.....

 

I haven't experience that yet.....But there were two problems with my IS the second day I drove it....There was a rattle around the driver's door panel, and the film on one of the b-pillar was wrinkle...sort of like a bad tint job........BUT IT's FIX NOW!!!
