Default Remote window control

Is it possible to remotely lower or raise the windows of the IS250 or IS350?

If you can, how do you do it? Also, can you put them back up remotely?

Thanks for the help,

Kevin

You can lower the windows and open the sunroof remotely but as a safety feature you can't raise or close them remotely. To lower and open them, press and hold the unlock button on the remote. The windows stop lowering when you release the button.

Has anyone tried to modify the windows to raise with the remote?

Is anyone interested in working with me to figure this out?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the power window switch module in the drivers door?

Thank you,

Kevin

Why would you want to do that (raising the windows remotely)? I can see the reason for lowering them remotely (to let the hot air out to cool the car before driver gets in) but not for raising them remotely. Are you trying to lock your car, walk away, then remotely roll up your windows later?

There are lots of reasons, but mostly to remotly raise the windows if it starts raining. It is nice to be able to raise them when locking the car remotely though. Its pretty convienent. I just downloaded the electrical diagrams from Toyotas technical website. I'll look it over and see how easy integration will be.

OK, here is what I found for wiring inside the door:

Power - blue (pin 10)
Ground - White/Black (Pin 2)
Ignition? - Black (Pin 20) (not very sure about this one, but not really needed)
Door Lock Cylinder - Blue (Pin 4)
Door lock actuator (trigger) - Light Green (runs to the actuator, not to the power window module)

Does anyone want to test this out? It should be pretty easy to implement.

I wouldn't mess with electrical stuff in this vehicle. Watch out before it voids your warranty.

Haha, I guess I have a natural instinct to hack up the wiring in any vehicle I own (but, like I said I don't currently own an IS). If anyone is interested in this project check out: http://www.kptechnologies.com/forums....php?p=495#495 for some more information. This modification has been performed on a wide variety of different vehicles, and in most cases, will keep OEM anti pinch detection enabled while remotely raising the windows.

That would be cool! My neighbor's E-Class does this by holding the lock button and I think it's a great feature. Too bad his car spends more time in the shop than it does in the garage.

I looked through the owners manual and it wasn't listed under customizable options. It says you can shut off the remote down, but nothing about enabling remote up.

Speed controlled door locks is a programmable feature, that is pretty cool!

On my AUDI S4, you can remotely close the windows and the sunroof.
