Default What type of wheel looks good on the new IS?

In general would a "mesh" type rim look better or would a 5 spoke "star" look better?
Would you go with a lip (deep dish) or without?

Because the IS will throw lots of brake dust (been several threads about this) I'd be careful about chosing complicated wheel designs that are difficult to clean.

I've always been partial to simple, 5-spoke designs... Especially on smaller cars like the IS.

I like the stock 18" wheels but will probably trade them out for some custom wheels after I do some shopping.

I would like to see some pics of the GS430 5 spokes on the IS.

I think the ISP looks much sharper than either stock or G-Spyder, but will be a pain to clean.

in my opinion, a fat 5 spoke wheel would look nice on it.

I really want to see a full picture of what the IS will look like with this 5 spoke accessory wheel from Lexus Japan.

In case you're wondering, that pic came from this Lexus IS accessory page from Lexus.jp.

http://lexus.jp/models/is/spec/accessory/exterior.html

Btw, will the 5 spoke GS430 18s fit in the front? They are also 18x8 like the optional 18" front wheels but they have wider tires. The 18s on the GS have 245s on them and the optional 18s on the front of the IS have 225s on them.

I agree, I would like a five spoke option. Either like the ones Sam just posted or five spoke from the GS. Wonder if I could talk them into swapping them at the dealer?
In the old days you could trade like that.

That looks smoking hot. My oh my. I am going to jump off a cliff to cool myself off. Dayyymmn. I cannot believe why Lexus did not put those GS wheels on the IS. Really good photochop.

I would vote for 5spoke with lip (not too much 3" would be great).

I personally think 19" 5-spoke wheels would definitely look nice. I got a set of Work Emotion wheels that I have on my car, maybe can put it on and see how it looks on a Crystal White. BTW, what bolt pattern is the new IS?
