Default November Allocations

I have been on the waiting list for an IS350 with either Luxury or Sport package with NAV since the new IS was released in early October. The dealer told me that all 350's with that type of package have been sold. Does anyone know if or when the second west coast allocations will be available? And what packages the cars will have?

What dealership are you going through out of curiosity?

I have two deposits at different dealerships. One at Longo and one at Cerritos. They both said they have put my order in, but neither can give a date. From what I've read from Asiangirl, it seems like the ordering process is not very up to date.

Default I think you guys are confusing "ordering" with "preferencing" a car

Sounds like the two dealerships you are working with have "preferenced" a car for you. This entails the dealer taking the specs for the car you want and submitting them to Lexus Regional. Lexus regional will then try to match your specs to cars arriving from the normal allocation and then send that matching car to your dealership. Now, I'm not sure how the pecking order for preferencing works, but most likely it is a first come, first served type thing. So if your dealer sent in their preference list ahead of another dealer, they will get first dibs on the cars configured to your specs. Now if you are looking for an options combo that is not part of the normal regional allocation (just go to lexus.com, build your own IS and enter your zip code to see what allocation options are available in your region) you are basically SOL and will need to custom order your car from Japan or try to get your dealers to trade for a car from another region that may offer the options that you want.

You probably want to clarify this with your dealers. Hope this helps.
